Shop-Fit & Perimeter Testing

With the ever increasing safety measures implemented within the commercial and retail sector. Ensuring the safety of the general public has been a high priority for many businesses. Shop-fit systems, or otherwise known as perimeter systems, in the past have been an "install and forget" task for most contractors and retail companies. The increasing need to test these systems has been growing exponentially over the past few years.

STS-UK Group were originally approached to help develop and commission a testing regime to ensure shop-fit systems such as shelving, racking and load bearing display stands could be tested beyond their stated load capability or design load, to determine whether the installed item is structurally sound and fit-for-purpose, with certification provided.

There is currently no official British Standard for undertaking load testing on a shop-fit system within the United Kingdom. STS-UK Group, working along with a number of experienced Structural Consultants; have outlined an approved testing regime to undertake testing that safely and accurately tests the shop-fit systems to a Safe Working Load (SWL) capacity to ensure all systems installed are as secure as possible, for the general public and all store workers.

With a truly bespoke one of a kind load frame system developed in-house by STS-UK, and the only testing system approved by leading UK Consultants; load testing of shop-fit systems can be undertaken nationwide and an accurate and proficient service can be expected.
