Dust Monitoring

STS-UK Group can offer full dust monitoring services. Our dust monitors are used widely in industrial applications like quarries and mines, construction, and waste treatment facilities, as well as domestic applications. All instruments are fully calibrated and conform to all relevant British Standards for dust monitoring.

Monitoring can be undertaken in a number of forms. The basic type of monitoring comes in the form of a hand held unit. This can be carried around site and is best used for spot checks, and one off monitoring purposes.

The next style of unit is a central logging system; this dust monitoring system would be used where a site has constant issues with dust pollution. The unit could be installed on-site and continuously monitor for dust contamination within the surrounding airways. These monitor system are more robust, and can be left out in the elements for continuous and accurate measurement. Downloading of the data would be undertaken on a regular basis for review by the client. This type of monitor can also have the supplementation of a beacon and/or klaxon to alert nearby Operatives of any breach in set triggered dust levels.

The third type of dust monitoring system is similar to the robust continuous logger, however with the added element of sudo real-time type logging. The data from the monitor can be sent via mobile network to a data presentation website. This can display data in various formats, with scalable graphical imagery, for new and historic data sets. The advantage of this system comes where trigger alerts can be set for the sensors, with email and text alerts automatically sent on the event of a triggered value being breeched.
