VIBRATION MONITORING
Vibration Monitoring is growing increasingly popular, and is often used as an early warning device to ensure that structures or Humans are not affected by excessive levels of vibration. These levels can be caused by anything from nearby building works to vehicles traveling down a road. STS-UK Group offers a service that will aid in the monitoring of any potential harmful impacts due to vibrations.
The two main areas that are affected by vibration are the impact on Humans in their living, or working conditions, and the impact on structures and monitoring potentially dangerous levels of vibration on and around them.
Vibration levels that impact Humans can be easily monitored using a complex piece of vibration monitoring equipment. This unit monitors VDV (Variable Dose Value) levels, high levels of this can affect People whether they are at work, in their home or sleeping at night. These high levels of vibration can be caused by anything from a nearby road, or new and ongoing building works.
STS-UK Group can use our extensive experience with vibration monitoring to install, monitor and report on any vibration values that may be affecting People in their homes or at work.
Vibration effects on structures can cause anything from cosmetic damage, up to catastrophic and premature failure of a building or structure. The causes of the vibration can again range from anything between piling on a nearby building site, to newly installed speed bumps on a local road. Monitoring any vibrations coming from these or any sources can help prevent further, or any adverse damage to a structure.
We offer a range or vibration monitoring devices that can be used to simple record and store vibrations on a location; up to alerting Users via an early warning device, should any vibrations reach a pre-set alarming value.
Our team of Engineers and Technicians are on hand to advise and guide the client to help prevent any potential damage that may be caused due to excessive vibrations. With a range of packages on offer, the equipment can simply be hired out to a client if they are familiar with the kit; to use at their own discretion. STS-UK will support them with all relevant software and hardware needs to facilitate this. Alternatively, a Technician can be sent with the hardware and software, and issue formal training to teach Operatives on how to use, download, and interpret the results; where possible. Furthermore, if requested we can supply the client with a Technician to undertake the monitoring on-site, and advise on the results found. The latter of these scenarios can be followed up by a formal report that can be utilised at the clients will.
STS-UK use the latest technology in vibration monitoring to ensure that any project undertaken is completed to an accurate and professional manner. A complete package can be provided by us, and this can involve initial site surveys, thorough and accurate vibration monitoring carried out to a high standard, followed up with a written report to all Relevant British, European or International Standards.
