Glazed Wall Testing

The STS-UK Group were commissioned as the first testing company in the United Kingdom to undertake insitu glazed wall testing in commercial and retail properties. With the increase in popularity of glazed walls for display and aesthetic purposes, the need for testing the strength of these has increased.

We designed and commissioned a bespoke load frame for the sole purpose of testing glazed walls within both; a live shop or a construction site environment. Using a combination of hydraulics and high accuracy electronics, STS-UK Group can undertake glazed wall testing within a professional manner. With thousands of tests already complete within the United Kingdom by Specialist Technical Services (U.K), an accurate and proficient service can be expected.

There is currently no official British Standard for undertaking load testing on a glazed wall system within the United Kingdom. STS-UK Group, working along with a number of experienced Structural Consultants; have outlined an Approved Testing Regime to undertake testing that safely and accurately tests the glazed wall systems to a Safe Working Load (SWL) capacity to ensure all systems installed are secure for the general public and all store workers.
