STS-UK Group offer a wide selection of load testing, a specific area of load testing undertaken throughout the United Kingdom is car park and crash barrier testing. Conforming to BS EN 1991-1-1:2002; We have the capability of carrying-out car park and crash barrier testing in-house or on-site, depending on the circumstances or requirements.

The testing can be undertaken for a wide range of situations such as new installs, old systems which may be out of specification, new prototype systems and damaged units which may be re-usable / repairable.

Working with the client; We can undertake car park and crash barrier testing up to loads of 300kN per linear meter. Using state of the art monitoring techniques, data can be logged at high speed and written to a central computer, removing as much human error on-site as possible, moving away from constant hand calculations.

The hydraulic systems used by STS-UK Group ensures that smooth loading us undertaken to simulate the impact accurately and safely, providing the precise measurement and results to be recorded.

Both static and dynamic testing can be undertaken within this sector. STS-UK’s high speed logging equipment can allow dynamic testing sampling up to 30,000 samples per second. This technology generates extremely accurate results to the client for peace of mind.

Monitoring of load and deflections is undertaken electronically; other qualities may also be measured such as strain and temperature. All monitoring undertaken by STS-UK Group is carried out electronically, logging back to a bespoke central logger. This means that no data is missed and detailed graphs and reports can be issued to the client, following successful completion of the project.
