Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We have the equipment and capability to undertake most in-situ load testing requirements to either British Standards, or Client Specification and request. We work nationwide, and can also travel into wider Europe and North America.

We undertake a variety of testing types, whether this be Proof; Failure; Design; NDT and Destruction - utilising our diverse methodologies and trained skilled Technicians, to produce accurate factual results. Such examples are (but not limited to): Balustrade Testing; Crowd Barrier Testing in Stadiums; Pull-Out Testing on Fixings; Floor Load Testing in Buildings and on Mezzanines; Lift Beam Load Testing, Car Park Parapet Testing; Glazed Wall Testing; Retail Compliance Testing on Shop-Fit Frames; Scaffold Testing; Anchor Testing; Etc.

We also offer a wide range of load-testing within our Testing Facility in Ellesmere Port, UK. Should you need anything which is not listed on our website, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements, as we do not list everything within our capabilities.

We hold an active policy which renews around July/August each calendar year. This covers all our project work, and professional activities to ensure complete piece of mind for our Clients. Please see below schedule table which illustrates our policy limits.

At the moment, we only accept payment via BACS, or cheques made out to “Specialist Technical Services (U.K) Limited”. We do not accept payment by card, over the phone or in-person. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yes we do. We cover the whole of the United Kingdom, and have the capacity to travel wider into Europe, and/or North America should this be a requirement.

We aim to turn around any relevant testing certificates within five working days of the project completion, or sooner where this may be required, or possible. This will depend on our current work-load, and times may vary unless agreed in writing prior.
